New to x64, so far so good, but a major kink has appeared. I can't install
the Adminpak to administer my 2003 AD Domain. I notice that the newest
version i can find is 2.5 years old, which I believe is older than x64...is
there another domain administration package available from MS?

If not, my computer (an HP xw4300) came with restore cds for x64 and XP Pro
SP2, is the 25 digit code on my sticker only x64 or is it either/or? What
are my options for downgrading to XP Pro for application compatibility?

Thank you.

You need to download the new version that comes with Service Pack 1 for
Server 2003 to obtain compatibility:

The AdminPak from Server 2003 SP1 installs just fine.

You should bare in mind that there's a copy of wadminpak.msi on the Windows
Server x64 installation media. Whether or not they're actually 64-bit apps
though, I couldn't tell you.
