Having just installed x64....Which driver will work the best for the i560?
Have tried several. The BCJ 2000 driver works but the I need a magnifiying
glass to read the print.

Sorry, nothing does!

I tried every driver that comes with Win64. One, it forget which one, does
print but the images are pretty muddy.

Canon doesn't seem very interested in providing updated drivers. They are
much more interested in you buying a 9900 which has 64 bit drivers and an
additional ink cartridge.

Canon really stinks in customer support and I'll use another vender when I
finally replace my i560

I have to agree, Canon is behaving just like Epson did with their products
when Windows 2000 came out and they refused to provide drivers for my $1,200
scanner! I've never bought another Epson product and probably won't buy
anything from Canon again, either.

BTW, I can't recall whatever made me chose a Microtek scanner but it works in
X64 by decorating the driver and I understand that Microtek has now done it
for us? Anyway, I'm pretty happy with Microtek.

Try the BJC-8000. It has worked with that printer before.

One point I hadn't considered before. Since the driver is working for some,
including me, and not for others, like you, I am using a USB connection to
my printer. Maybe you are using a Parallel IEEE1284 and the driver doesn't
work for that connection. They do have different drivers on the install
disk. Just a perhaps which could resolve the issue.

I'll bet the driver isn't "working" for you. Can you align the printheads?
Does it let you know the level of the ink in the ink tanks? Being able to
print low quality color isn't "working" in my opinion, the proper driver does
MUCH more. "Working" means (to me anyway) being able to do everything that I
could do with the printer in Windows XP and it can't do that using the
substitute driver in X64.

FWIW, the Canon S900 has no parallel interface, it's USB or nothing.

Perfect, no. No one said it was. Good to very good, yes. I get as good a
quality of print as in x86 for draft, normal and best. Highest quality,
which I never use, is not available in the BJC-8000.

Exactly, which for me defeats the purpose of a photo printer. ;-)
