I can't get my Belkin USB bluetooth F8T001 v2 adapter to work in Windows XP
x64.
I plug the adapter on an USB port and windows installs the proper drivers.
This is somehow useless because the Belkin software package needs to be
installed in order to configure and use the device.
I installed the x86 supplied software (v1.4.2.10) but there is no way to
make it work.
I have visited Belkin's web page
(http://web.belkin.com/support/download.asp?download=F8T003_v2&lang=1&mode=)
and I have also sent them an e-mail (waiting for an answer...).
Does anybody here in this distinguished group or international brains know a
workaround?
Carlos

Hello Carlos,

The configuration for Bluetooth for the OS supplied drivers is in Control
Panel.
There is a Bluetooth icon in control panel.

So what is the device you want to connect via Bluetooth to the Belkin
Adapter?
What is the functionality that you are not seeing or that you are missing?

The Software Package from Belkin contains 32-bit Drivers, which will not
work, they need to be ported to 64-bit by Belkin before they can be used on
a 64-bit Windows..
Thanks,
Darrell Gorter[MSFT]

Hi Darrell:
I'd be happy if I just could ActiveSync my iPAQ 4155 via bluetooth (no
success so far)
I'm using ActiveSync 3.8 which has that capacity and is the recommended one
for Pocket PC 2003.
I agree with you about the driver porting that has yet to be done but as
this is a non Belkin driver (Widcomm is the manufacturer) there might be
hanging around some other from another manufacturer that could work on x64
(haven't found it yet).

Hello Carlos,
You should be able to use ActiveSync.
There should be a Bluetooth over Serial option
It's a virtuallized serial port, which is all that should have to be
present for this to work.
Thanks,
