Actually the issue is between Intel and Microsoft. Intel is=20
the owner of the AHCI project, but Microsoft has not kept=20
it's operating systems up to date to cope with the AHCI=20
standard.
If you really want something to get heart burn over, try=20
installing with a SATA optical drive. If you search the=20
internet you will find that some hardware won't work and=20
other hardware will. So, it's a crap shoot as to whether=20
you can install a system on drives with the controller set=20
to AHCI.
You can thank Intel and Microsoft for this can of worms!!!
