I installed Windows XP x64 a few weeks ago. Overall I'm happy with it.
There are just a few things I don't have working yet. Mainly for lack of
64-bit drivers. One thing I haven't been able to figure out yet is digital
rights management. Does x64 support it? Adobe Reader won't allow me to
read pdf books that I previously purchased. I also can't play music that I
previously purchased in MusicMatch. Is there a solution? I have a dual
boot so I can use the files in 32-bit XP, but I'm hoping to get them working
in x64. Thanks.

Your license file is on x32. If your license restricts you to 1 computer
usage, you are probably out of luck, but many will allow copying to cd 1
time and maybe you can burn them on a cd/dvd and use them in x64.

That's why I will never use DRM stuff. You pay for your music and books,
then they are tied to the operating system you hapen to be using!!!!

If you change the motherboard, your network card, or even (god forbid)
you get a new OS or a new computer and BINGO! you have to buy all your
music and your books AGAIN!

Nice for the sellers but a RIP OFF for the buyers.

There is a solution for the music files. Either burn them to CD and then
convert the cd to MP3 (don't know how legal this is) or go to
www.allofmp3.com and download albums for around $1.5 USD that have no
restrictions on them whatsoever. I know what you are thinking, but it is
completely legal and you get to choose the sound quality of the files.

I'm allowed to put the music on up to 5 devices. I currently have 4
registered, including the one with x64. So in theory, it should work. I
tried restoring the licenses from backup. There were no errors, it said the
backup was restored successfully, but still the music doesn't play. Adobe
also allows files to be copied to several devices. I get an error though
trying to activate. It says to contact customer support, which of course
isn't free.

It was very nice for a while to be able to buy a book in pdf format and copy
it to a cd and take it to work. I didn't have to carry books back and
forth, and they don't take up shelf space. This DRM stuff is a pain though.

I guess your tracks are limited to "1 PC". Legally this is probably not
correct, but technically this means "1 installation of MS Windows". You
can try to sue MusicMatch to get support for your "1 PC" if you like. I
have the feeling that several liberal groups may support you in this.

Otherwise I would recommend to "vote with your money": do not buy any
songs that do not at least allow 3 PCs in the license.

You can also write the songs to CD and then rip them in x64, but it is
not quite clear whether that is legal.
